So, I was at this meeting, and it was cool. The end.

Well, here we are...

So, our first real post since resurrecting! It's exciting! but, anyway...

XKCD's recent commentary on Kesha's song "TikTok," accessible at http://xkcd.com/846, or viewable via the "XKCD" tab, was quite interesting. It sparked a huge debate on the fora over whether or not Jack Daniels has similar dental cleansing properties to toothpaste. THis debate then escalated into the writing of the lyrics to a full-length parody rap song. Not that I especially like rap, but...

Also, you know those Amazon Kindles? XKCD tells us that burning them will lead to toxic fume inhalation. I honestly fail to see the point in an electronic "reading device." If you lose it, don't you lose all the books on it? What if it got stolen? What if it quit working? Only one person I know has a Kindle, and it's been sent in for repairs more than once, because of problems with the screen.

On to topic #3: I got a copy of the latest issue of tpm (the philosophers' magazine) today, and on the front, it says, top left, "How not to Argue." How do you NOT argue!? You don't argue by not being opinionated, and by not showing your beliefs in any way, shape, or form. Who wastes the time required to NOT argue?

Onward!

Or... Not. That's all I have time to write for now. Maybe I'll edit some relevant pictures in later. But, the bus approaches, and I must begone!

What? It's becoming ACTIVE? REALLY!?

Oui, monsieurs et madames, Poeta Portis Cantat is coming back online. It will officially be updated somewhat regularly! I'll try to hold myself to a regular, monday-wednesday-friday posting schedule, with a thursday instead of a friday once a month due to something I've got going on. Any of my fellow students reading this: Please, don't post location info! At least, not obvious stuff. :D

Anyway, welcome to the blog! More to come! I hope you enjoy yourselves! I'll post again tomorrow, since this is an odd week. (I still consider this Wednesday, BTW.)
